Six cores? Who needs six cores when you can have eight? That seems to be Intel’s view on things. Its upcoming eight-core (octocore!) processor will undoubtedly make short work of the most CPU-intensive server tasks.

One of Newegg’s suppliers looks to have let the big ‘egg down. This past weekend, the computer parts giant reportedly shipped up to three hundred utterly fake Intel Core i7-920 processors. Not an inexpensive purchase by any means, no doubt the buyers were completely perplexed when they popped the “CPUs” out of their packages.
